Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is making major strides as a center for outdoor fun and community spirit.
Optimist Park will soon feature brand-new playground equipment, thanks to a partnership between the city and the Optimist Club of Sheboygan, which is covering half the $50,000 price tag.
Work is set for early 2025, bringing more play options to south side families.
Local baseball fans can cheer as the Sheboygan A’s extend their collaboration with Meijer through 2026, continuing the tradition of Meijer Family Day and free Sunday admission for kids 14 and under.
The city has also teamed up with Fox Valley Athletics on a five-year deal to operate Wildwood Athletic Park, promising new scoreboards and upgraded facilities for softball players.
Trail improvements are slated for the Interurban and Old Plank Road trails, focusing on repairs and long-term safety.
Summers will be even busier, with special refreshment areas at city events and Sheboygan County 4-H camps offering adventure and learning for local youth.
Sheboygan continues to build a vibrant, activity-filled future for all residents.
