Experience 'Sherlock Jr.' with Live Music by Carthage Wind Orchestra

Buster Keaton's Silent Film Comes Alive with a New Musical Score

Prepare for an unforgettable evening as the Carthage College Wind Orchestra presents a live accompaniment to Buster Keaton's classic silent film, 'Sherlock Jr.'

 

This unique performance will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., in the A. F. Siebert Chapel at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

 

Admission is free, and no tickets are required.

 

Under the direction of Professor James Ripley, the Wind Orchestra has crafted a new musical score for the film, drawing from the works of composer Don Gillis, renowned for his lighthearted and heartfelt compositions.

 

This event marks the world premiere of this collaboration, initiating a series of performances at regional opera houses.

 

Following the Kenosha debut, the tour includes:

 

Friday, November 14, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. – Capitol Civic Centre, Manitowoc, WI

 

Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. – Stefanie Weill Center, Sheboygan, WI

 

Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. – The Grand Oshkosh, Oshkosh, WI

 

At The Grand Oshkosh, a special social gathering will precede the performance at 6:30 p.m., featuring hors d'oeuvres and drinks.
