Wisconsin is poised for a robust cranberry harvest in 2025, with an estimated yield of 5.3 million barrels.
This projection cements Wisconsin’s role as America’s top cranberry producer for the 31st year in a row.
The state is expected to provide 65% of the nation’s cranberries, far surpassing Massachusetts, Oregon, and New Jersey.
Despite weather challenges, growers remain optimistic, blending tradition with innovation in marsh management and modern farming techniques.
Cranberries have been Wisconsin’s official state fruit since 2004 and are its leading fruit crop by both size and economic value.
The industry delivers nearly $1 billion to the state’s economy, supporting over 4,000 jobs and stretching across 25,000 acres in 19 counties.
Most cranberries are processed for juices and snacks, while fall festivals like Warrens Cranberry Festival celebrate this deep-rooted local tradition. Read More... |
