Second Annual Pick-El Ball Event Aims to Raise $25,000 for Mental Health America Lakeshore |
On December 6, 2025, the Sports Core in Kohler will host the second annual Pick-El Ball Tournament and Fundraiser, a pickleball event dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
This event honors the memory of Elli Westfall, who tragically lost her battle with depression in November 2014.
Organized by Elli's friends and family, along with Lilly Schroeder—owner of Link Pickleball and channel marketing manager at Kohler Company—the tournament seeks to transform grief into a positive community initiative.
Schroeder, Elli's best friend, expressed, "Through celebrating Elli’s life, we hope to bring hope, healing, and a commitment to mental wellness that will resonate across Sheboygan and beyond."
In light of rising rates of depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicidality both locally and nationwide, the event aims to spark conversations about mental wellness, reduce stigma, and raise funds for Mental Health America Lakeshore.
The fundraising goal is set at $25,000.
Registration is $50 per person and can be completed online.
Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to join, fostering a sense of community and support through the sport of pickleball.
For more information and to register, visit the Mental Health America Lakeshore website.
Join us in honoring Elli's legacy and supporting mental health initiatives in our community. |
